Week 10 weekly newsletter

Room 6 Newsletter Term 1 Week 10

Swimming
The school pool is now closed for the summer. There will be no more swimming this term. Swimming lessons at Lloyd Elsmore pools will start on Monday May 9 (the second week of Term 2). There will be more information on this soon.

Wheels Day
While the Seniors are at camp, the Juniors and middle School will have a wheels day. This is planned for Tuesday April 12, after lunch (the last week of the term). More information to come.

BYOD (bring your own device)
We plan to start allowing the children to bring their own devices to school, for those who wish to take up this option. This will start at the beginning of Term 2. A letter will come home on Monday, which everyone has to sign as it relates to digital citizenship when using any devices. A second letter will come home the following week. This also needs to be signed and returned to school before the children can bring and use their own devices.

Trip & Activity Fee
On Thursday May 5 (the first week back after the holidays) the Middle School are going on a trip to the Botanic Gardens. We will need parent helpers. A notice will come home next week. At least $30 of the activity fee needs to be paid by Tuesday May 3.

PTA Clothing Sale
Please bring your preloved clothes to the office before and after school for the PTA Clothing sale. The sale is Saturday 9th April 10.30am-4pm in the school hall. All items will be $2. There is a pre-sale on Friday 8th April 3.30-4.30pm for $10 entry where you have the chance to have first choice.

Uniforms
All Year 3s and 4s will need a sports uniform after the holidays.
If you are buying new shoes please make sure they are all black and suitable for sports.

Girls and dresses
As a modesty measure, could girls who wear dresses please wear black shorts/bike pants under their dresses. These should not show when the girls are walking or standing.
