weekly newsletter week 6

Room 6’s Weekly
Term 2 Week 6, 2016

Another great week at HPS this week.  The sun came out at the end of the week to allow the children some outside play.

Queens Birthday
Just a reminder that this a long weekend with Monday the 6th of June being a public holiday.  School will be closed, and open again on Tuesday the 7th of June.

Swimming
There will be no swimming this week as it is Queens Birthday Weekend.

Science Roadshow
The middle school is walking to Howick Intermediate on Friday 10 June.  Your child will have received a notice about this and on it, it will say whether they are in the morning or afternoon groups.  We are needing some parent helpers for this.  Please let your child’s teacher know if you are available to help with this. More information about the roadshow can be found here.

Inflatable Soccer and Kelly Sports
Just a reminder that these are on Wednesdays at lunchtimes.  If your child is involved in either of these or any other sports practices, they need to make sure they have a change of clothes with them. As the weather is getting wetter the fields are getting muddier and we do not want mud in the classrooms.

Homework
Homework is expected. It is recommended that all children read for at least 15 mins per night and spend a similar amount of time practising basic facts, number knowledge and/or times tables. Maths homework will be set through Mathletics.
Homework sheets will not be provided.
